About Us
Carolina Ocando
A graduate of the Modern Dance School of Caracas, Venezuela, Ms Ocando holds a degree in Fine Arts of Theater from the Central University of Venezuela. She studied Classic Ballet with Lidija Frankling of Moscow and Julio Lamas of National Ballet of Cuba. In 1992, founded the first Modern Dance Theater Company "Esdanza" in Los Teques, Venezuela. Ms Ocando also served as the Director/Dance Coordinator of the National Dance School of Miranda State Government.
In 1999, Ms Ocando founded Esdanza School in Florida. She was the Artistic Director and Choreographer of Pirouette Dance School in Alberta Canada and coached the junior and Senior teams in National Competitions in 2009.
Ms Ocando teaches Creative Movement, Ballet, Jazz/Tap, Modern Dance, Lyrical, Hatha Yoga, Pilates and belly Dance. Ms Ocando has taught and performed in Florida, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and internationally.

Carolina believes in dance, her passion for dance is reflected in every move she make. The way to make children love to move their bodies is through dance. Dancing frees children to explore their creativity without worrying about finished product, just being in the moment, enjoying the movement. What better way to instill in your children a lifelong habit of body wellness? Add Hatha Yoga to Carolina's special Dance fusion of Classic Vaganovah Ballet, and Modern Dance Merce Cunnigham technique, and freestyle Movement, and you"ll have the Open Creation process to teach kids how to create without competition. You, the parent, will have the enjoyment of regular recitals to see your child's progress and be amazed at their passion for dance.
